Brief profile of Jakob Horsch:

Dr. Jakob Horsch is a linguist and corpus-based researcher specializing in usage-based construction grammar, word order, and contrastive syntax, with a focus on English, Slovak, and comparative constructions. He is an Assistant Professor at Masaryk University (Faculty of Arts, Department of English and American Studies) and a Research Assistant at the Slovak Academy of Sciences (Ľudovít Štúr Institute of Linguistics, Slovak National Corpus). He holds a PhD in English Linguistics from the University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, where his dissertation investigated the comparative correlative construction across varieties of English using large corpora and experimental data. His work combines corpus evidence with cognitive, usage-based and construction-grammar frameworks to study patterns of constituent order and constructional networks.
